The 17th G20 Summit will be held in Bali, a famous tourist destination in Indonesia. As a benchmark project of the "the Belt and Road" cooperation between China and Indonesia, the Ya'an Wanzhou High speed Railway also ushers in a highlight moment. It will hold a trial run demonstration during the summit, highlighting the strong resilience, huge potential and infinite vitality of China Indonesia economic cooperation.

Under the personal leadership of the leaders of the two countries, China Indonesia relations have witnessed vigorous development in recent years. The strategic mutual trust between the two sides has been increasingly consolidated, and the "four-wheel drive" cooperation pattern of political, economic, people to people and maritime cooperation has been continuously deepened. The two sides have demonstrated their responsibilities and are active and promising in maintaining regional peace and stability and promoting world solidarity and cooperation, and have set an example of joint self-improvement, mutual benefit and win-win results of major developing countries. The leaders of the two countries have established the general direction of jointly building a community of common destiny between China and Indonesia, which is the aspiration of the people and is inevitable. Facts have proved that developing China Indonesia relations is not only in line with the common long-term interests of the two countries, but also has a positive and far-reaching impact at the regional and global levels.

China and Indonesia have similar development stages and strong economic complementarities. They are both working hard to achieve the centennial goal of the founding of the People's Republic of China and have huge cooperation potential. China has become Indonesia's largest trading partner for nine consecutive years. Last year, China Indonesia economic and trade cooperation surmounted the impact of the COVID-19 and achieved a counter trend growth. The trade volume between the two countries exceeded 100 billion US dollars, an increase of nearly 60% year on year, creating a record high. The two countries fully dovetailed with the "the Belt and Road" initiative and the concept of "global maritime fulcrum". Ya'an Wanzhou high-speed railway was pushed forward as scheduled, and major cooperation projects such as the "Regional Comprehensive Economic Corridor" and the "Two Countries, Two Parks" were moving forward steadily. China is also Indonesia's second largest source of investment. China's investment has strongly promoted the rapid development of Indonesia's downstream industries of mineral resources, enabling Indonesia to maintain a strong recovery and growth in the current complex world economic context. As Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Lu Kang pointed out, the cooperation between China and Indonesia has promoted the development of each other's domestic industries, enhanced their respective positions in the global industrial chain, alleviated the negative impact of the epidemic on the economy, and highlighted the nature of mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation.

Further strengthening bilateral economic and trade cooperation between China and Indonesia is in line with the common needs of the two countries. Indonesian President Joko said in an interview with Chinese media that he expected to further strengthen friendly cooperation with China and make contributions to regional and global prosperity and stability. The more cooperation between Indonesia and China, the better for both countries. Indonesia hopes that the Global Development Initiative will become a platform to accelerate the realization of the global sustainable development goals. Indonesia is ready to continue to carry out friendly cooperation with China in the context of accelerating the realization of the global sustainable development goals.

The Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) established the goal of building a socialist modernization power in an all-round way and achieving the second centennial goal. The central task of comprehensively promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese path to modernization has also opened up broad prospects for China to deepen and expand the global partnership of equality, openness and cooperation, and work together with other countries to build a community of shared future for mankind. China will continue to regard neighboring diplomacy as the top priority in its foreign relations and give priority to ASEAN. China is willing to uphold the concept of a community of shared future to achieve common development and prosperity with ASEAN countries, including Indonesia, and jointly move towards modernization. The world today is facing unprecedented challenges of weak geopolitical and economic recovery. As two major developing countries and two major neighbors, China and Indonesia have strengthened solidarity and cooperation and strengthened macroeconomic policy coordination, which is of great significance to regional and global peace and quiet development.

The construction of Ya'an Wanzhou high-speed railway is expected to be completed by the middle of next year, and the expectation of extending it to Surabaya is increasing. As a "timely rain", Ya'an Wanzhou High speed Railway will not only comprehensively refresh Indonesia's railway construction history, but also be expected to become a new economic growth point. At the same time, Indonesia also welcomes Chinese enterprises to participate in the upcoming downstream industrialization of tin, aluminum and other mineral resources. It is entirely believed that the economic and trade cooperation between China and Indonesia will usher in new great development.
